Pay: £15–£20 per hour (depending on experience)
Duration: 15-20 hours a week
Contract: Employed or self-employed (rolling 3-month contracts subject to performance)
The Role
This is a flexible, remote role for someone who understands how to use digital channels practically – not just for likes, but for business growth. You’ll work directly with the Director to plan and deliver day-to-day digital marketing activity.
Main Focus Areas
- LinkedIn (B2B priority): Build our presence with SMEs; share useful, IT-related content for decision makers; help turn visibility into enquiries and calls.
- Instagram (Individuals & Small Businesses): Use simple, clear posts and stories to reach people who need IT help; show how we solve real problems (security, backups, slow systems, remote work etc).
- Website & SEO: Write regular blog posts on relevant IT topics; support genuine offsite SEO (quality links, directories, mentions); help improve visibility on Google over time.
- Leads & Reporting: Help us track where enquiries come from; provide straightforward updates to the Director on outcomes and adjustments.
What we’re looking for
- Experience managing social media for a service-based or B2B business.
- Confident with LinkedIn and Instagram, including responding to comments promptly.
- Comfortable writing clear, non-technical content (blogs and posts).
- Basic understanding of SEO and ethical offsite activity.
- Happy to work remotely while staying in close contact with the Director.
